FAQ

Q: Our pool is 18×37.5 .So is salt ok on liner? Can you replace our liner as well as convertt to salt.wha t is cost involved?

Asked by: Nancy Peace - 5/30/2020
A: Yes, it is very common to use Salt Chlorinators on vinyl liner pools. You'll want to choose a salt system with 1.5x to 2x the capacity of your actual pool.

Q: Does this generator need one or two outlets for power?

Asked by: Etimes2 - 1/19/2021
A: Not exactly sure what you mean by "one or two outlets for power". This model can work on both 110V and 220V, and can be direct wired to terminals on a timer / relay, or its power cable can be fitted with standard plug and connected to an available outdoor outlet if needed. Give us a call at 866-766-5243 and we're glad to help with more details.

Q: Will the cell work on my Hayward System?

Asked by: Tony - 6/2/2021
A: If you have a Hayward pump and filter, this EDGE system should work with it just fine. If you are asking if the EDGE system's cell will work with a Hayward Aquarite salt system, then the answer is it can replace the Aquarite salt system using this adapter kit: https://www.discountsaltpool.com/circupool-edge-hayward-pentair-cell-adapter-kit

Q: Since I bought this system the salt cell has filled with salt deposits every 4-5 days.

Asked by: BOVELL RICHARDS - 3/8/2023
A:

When any model salt chlorinator gets enough white calcium scaling inside that the system requires cleaning more frequently than once a month, this is a clear indication of a high Saturation Index, which is a water balance issue. This can be balanced so that cleaning frequency becomes more in the expected range of once every 4-8 weeks.

Q: Will the chlorinator shut down if there is no water flow?

Asked by: Daniel Helvey - 3/22/2023
A: If there is no water flow, then this system's "flow switch" will not be triggered. The "no flow" LED on the controls will illuminate and the system will stop generating chlorine.

Q: We have a regular chlorinated pool that we are considering switching over to salt. We started looking because we were looking for a new filter and found one that is a filter with pump and salt water system. Is that all that is needed to switch over to salt water? I've seen you do not need to change your filter to switch to a salt system but that's the main thing we do want to change. we have a 24 ft round above ground pool

Asked by: Jessica - 4/16/2023
A: "Switching over to salt" just means using a salt chlorine generator on your pool so that you don't have to buy and manually add chlorine anymore. If you also happen to need to replace your filter, as you say, you may find salt chlorinators bundled with a pump and/or filter, or you can choose to get these items separately. Feel free to give our team a call to go over your pool's specific needs in detail, 866-766-5243
