CircuPool EDGE-25 Salt Chlorine Generator
The Generator has been installed and working for approx. a month. It was installed in a 8600 gal New Fiberglass pool. I set it to 50% and yesterday had the water tested by a pool supply store. Both the FAC and TAC were reading 5ppm. A great result in this very hot and sunny Texas month. I only required to add some conditioner which I expected as it wasn't added when the pool was filled. So far I am delighted with the simplicity of the system. The flow switch ensures that it is only generating when the pump is running. I am hoping for a long life from this system. My guests love the water quality and perfect clarity.

combo'd it with ozone system
yes i would definitely recommend. put this in with an ozone system and the water has never been nicer in the pool. i have a 20x40 gunite pool and it keeps the cl between 1 and 2 with only 8 hrs of running my challenger pump. i like seeing the ozone and cl in the cell, very easy to know its working when i've checked on it.

Great Generator
I cut old system out put this in line with one 2inch extra pipe approx 6 inches in legnth, and two couplings. Took me approx 39 min because of space. Then electronics were plug and play to system, an hard wire power direct. I recommend the UV system also, for absolute crystal clear water. Aftee two days I checked the water and it was perfect. No need to get technical, because Circupool has there systems perfected. Personally I believe they are the best currentmy in the pool industry. If you are in SC look to Lee OnAWhim For your Circupool needs.

Awesome equipment
I had to replace my salt generator system. I was confused about what brand to buy and what will get the job done. I purchased the CircuPool Edge 40. WOW, my pool has never looked so good and it keeps up with the elements. After talking with Don (I think that was his name) I bought a system that was rated for double the pool size due to being in Florida. My old system wasn't able to keep up. I keep this unit running at 3 of the eight settings and the chlorine is steady at a 5. Beautiful water, easy install & works like it should. Don't hesitate, buy it now. it is the best.

I Wish They Would Standardize The Dimensions
I wish all of the salt cells were the same size. I have installed three different systems over the years and every time it required cutting and gluing PVC. I also wish the power supply and salt cell cords were the same length as the older series. Imagine my surprise when I got everything fitted and glued into place and now I find out the power supply cord and the salt cell cord is considerably shorter than the previous versions. Fortunately DSP takes care of their customers and they helped me make it reach my breaker box. / timer. All in all a good system but I really wish everything would get standardized as far and cord lengths and dimensions.

Questions From Customers

Q: My pump has an internal timer, and I don't want to add an external timer. Of the Edge, RJ-series, and SJ-series, which have internal timers?

Asked by: homeowner - 9/11/2019
A: If you have a variable speed pump with programmable controls, choose either the Edge or the RJ. The use a flow switch which allows them to work in sync with the VSP.

Q: How does the Edge control Chlorine output? I have heard other models cycle on and off but I am monitoring the amp's used on my Edge40 and it seems to draw more power if I increase the amount. Does it cycle or just change the cell output?

Asked by: Mark Ayash - 3/23/2020
A: It changes the output up and down.

Q: Will this work for a 20,000 gallon above ground pool? Thanks

Asked by: RONALD - 4/17/2019
A: Ronald, that's possible especially if you are in a northern climate. The EDGE Series is particularly powerful, but you should know that you typically want to get plenty of extra capacity so you can easily keep the water clean even during pool problems that might come up. Q: is this standing alone unit or is controlled with other, such as Pantair Easytouch 8?

Asked by: YOUNG - 2/27/2020
A: It works either way. You either hook it up to the same circuit/relay as the pump, so they get turned on and off together, or hook it directly to power and let its flow switch synchronize it with your pump's programmed operation.

Q: WHAT ARE THE DIMENTIONS OF TOTAL LENGTH NEEDED, DIAMETER, CAN IT BE MOUNTED VERTICALLY, HOW FAR PASSED UNIT CAN FLOW SWITCH BE MOUNTED?

Asked by: STEVE - 2/5/2020
A: The cell is about 10.75" long (not including unions), and the flow switch is approximately 5.75" long. It can go horizontal or vertical. The flow switch needs to be on the same leg of the plumbing, so that you make sure there is no chance that the water goes through the flow switch but not the cell.

Q: I need a salt filter for a 26'x52" Coleman above ground pool that will run off a 110 outlet.

A: The EDGE25 would likely have sufficient capacity. It works automatically on both 110V and 220V, and you can easily and cheaply get a plug connector from the hardware store to put on the end of its power cable.
