The CPSC36 replacement cell is compatible with CompuPool CPSC36 and CPA salt chlorine generators. This CPSC36 salt cell is the generic replacement cell model designed to easily drop in place and allow you to replace your old CPSC36 cell in minutes. Not made by Compu Pool, this cell is made to meet or exceed original factory specs and has 100% guaranteed compatibility.

Replacing the CPSC36 cell will allow your salt chlorine generator to begin chlorinating again if your old CPSC36salt cell has been depleted. The CPSC36 cell sanitizes your swimming pool in an eco-friendly and cost-efficient way, and also helps provide a luxurious swimming experience without the eye irritation and dry skin.

Sizing:

When replacing your CPSC36 salt cell, take this opportunity to make sure it is sized correctly. Sizing your salt cell properly is key to making sure you will not need to supplement with additional chlorine or shock your pool, and also extends the lifespan of your cell. The industry recommends using a salt cell with a max capacity of 1.5-2 times the actual size of your pool (more is better). The CPSC36 is manufacturer rated for a maximum capacity of 36,000 gallons.

Compatibility:

This replacement salt cell for the CPSC36 is 100% compatible with original systems (no software/firmware issues). The CPSC36 cell has the same length, threading, and cable connection for direct replacement of original part JD363130D.

To get the most life out of your salt cell and to keep your pool running without unexpected interruptions, make sure it is sized correctly, maintain correct water balance, and be sure and inspect your cell at least every 3 months for leaks, debris, and calcium scale. Be sure to follow instructions in the product manual and clean the cell as often as the system indicates.

FAQ

Q: Power and polarity lights are lit. Salt level is good by independent analysis and water flow is good. No Flow light stays lit and therefore cell will not generate chlorine. Is the flow sensor/switch integral to the replacement cell or is it a different assembly?

Asked by: Swiss Expat - 7/19/2017
A: There isn't an actual flow switch on this model, it just takes electrical readings from the cell to determine salinity or the presence of water. If your salt level is actually above 3000, if the cell is clean, if water is completely filling the cell, and if the cord is getting tight clean connections on the three terminals at the end of the cell, then most likely the cell itself (the titanium electrodes) just needs to be replaced.

Q: Can you provide the O-ring to put it into the clear housing?

Asked by: Jill - 7/24/2017
A: Yes, that O-Ring comes with this cell. Additionally, if you want to get the o-rings for that system separately, you can find them here:

Q: Will this work with the 24 k gallon generator ?

Asked by: Eric Strong - 3/22/2019
A: No, the control module you have with a cpsc24 has a transformer which is too small to power a larger size cell. if you are looking to upgrade, give us a call and we can get you a discount on a more powerful system that will be a drop-in replacement. That is a better value. 866-766-5243
