Troubleshooting Your Salt Chlorine Generator "Generating" Light
Generating Light Is Off
Not surprisingly, this is generally going to mean that no chlorine production is taking place which begs the issue, why?
Output set to 0%
- Temporarily adjust the output above 0%.
- Generating light should come on.
Fault Condition
- Are there any red lights on?
- Address the warning lights.
Chlorine generated per “Duty Cycle”
- Temporarily raise the output to 100%.
- Generating light should come on because there are no “rest” or “idle” periods at 100% output.
Generating Light Is Flashing
A flashing Generating Light has different meanings specific to the brand and model of saltwater chlorine generator and is sometimes associated with another warning light.
Check the owner’s manual for an explanation of your flashing Generating Light and any other warning light accompanying it.
