Problem solved
My RJ-30 Classic controls failed. The LCD screen only asked for a Language choice. Pressing the keypad was non responsive. I called the service department and was told it was likely a keypad problem. The changeout was easy six screws opened the case, removed the ribbon connector to the PCB on the case cover and removed the keypad ribbon connector, pealed back the old keypad, attached the new adhesive backed keypad, reattached the ribbon connectors, put the case back together with six screws and placed it back on the mounting bracket. Powered up the pool pump and the pressed the power on button on the RJ-30; it works like a champ now.

New keypad
The new keypad works well. My only disappointment was no instructions on how to change out. Jason gave me good directions over the phone....peel the old one off and make sure you get the new one started squarely over the opening. I recommended providing written instructions in the future.

easy fix
My other keyboard faded from the sun so I couldn't read the letters! this was about a 30 minute fix and works great!
