High suction = good cleaner
I bought this (my latest cleaner) exclusively by the suction rate spec - to get the most for what I was willing to spend. This is because I made the mistake last time on buying one that seemed too good to be true on Amazon - and it was total junk, falling off the wall halfway as it climbed up. I was not disappointed by this one. For the money it was the best suction I could find it doing an awesome job climbing all of my walls and cleaning the whole pool. Not once have I found it floundering along the edge of the pool trying to get back on track.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
The shipping was fast and the cleaner I chose is worth every penny in time saved! The poolmate hydro 6 is an absolute beast of a robotic vacuum! My pool floor is very unlevel with lots of dips and liner wrinkles but this cleaner has NO trouble getting around! HIGHLY RECOMMEND the poolmate hydro 6!

Good robot
Our prior experience with high end Maytronics robots was a dismissal failure. Our pool uses a large biofilm filter, no chemicals, no salt, no uv. Water is clear and drinkable. The poolmate hydro 6 is the first robot to actively and consistently clean the water line. My only complaint is that the filter is a little tricky to take apart which makes it easier to thoroughly clean every corner. Still, this is far better than any of the three robots we've used over the past 6 years.

Q: can this be left in the pool for several months at a time. We leave Glorida for the summer and would like to know if this cleaner can be left in the pool to clean while we are away

A: According to PoolMate:

Theoretically, the Hydro 6 can be left in the pool for an extended period.

However, we do not recommend leaving it unattended for several months, as variations in water temperature and other environmental factors may affect the robot’s performance and longevity.

We recommend drying the unit thoroughly and storing it in a dry, shaded area when not in use for long periods. This will help protect the robot and ensure optimal performance when you return.
