ControlOMatic MegaChlor salt chlorine generators are specifically designed to retrofit any brand of swim spa, hot tub or small above ground pool up to 12,000 gallons.

When using a regular-size saltwater pool system isn't an option, the MegaChlor chlorine generator is designed to be a very easy to install and does not interfere with the current plumbing or electronics: simply add salt, place in the water, and turn it on. The control unit plugs into a standard 110v GFCI outlet and attaches to the spa's skirt or nearby support in minutes.

Even better - the advanced MegaChlor-CD option includes patent pending chlorine detection technology which allows for automatic operation - no need to manually monitor and adjust your chlorine levels. Make your swimspa, pool, or hot tub sanitation effortless.

The MegaChlor is plug-and-play! However, if you're looking for a concealed installation, the MegaChlor Inline option allows the system to be connected to your existing pump/filter system and remain out of sight. Important: inline operation should be used with continuous pump operation or where power can be coordinated to turn pump and salt system on and off together. The MegaChlor Inline option utilizes 2" Schedule 40 FPT PVC connectors, which can also be adapted as needed for virtually any plumbing type using off-the-shelf hardware. The MegaChlor can also be utilized as a hot tub and spa saltwater bromine generator, for spas that currently use manual bromine sanitation

Why convert to salt? Because of the higher temperatures involved in spas, the chemical balance must be continuously maintained in order to stay safe. Keeping up with spa and hot tub maintenance can be a challenge - forgetting to add chlorine or bromine just once can lead to cloudy, smelly water problems. Even conventional chlorine feeder systems run out! Instead, Controlomatic MegaChlor salt chlorinators allow you to automatically and consistently ensure crystal clear water without buying or adding anymore traditional chlorine or bromine. Using a low level of natural salt, the MegaChlor continuously sanitizes the water while eliminating the harsh chemical odors. That means a luxurious & natural experience when you swim or soak, and worry-free & cost-effective maintenance along the way.

Q: do t need a pro to install in my in ground swim spa?

Asked by: john - 9/5/2018
A: No, one of the reasons this system is so great is that it takes virtually no work to install it. It just requires a standard electrical outlet for the controller to plug in to, and then you simply place the salt cell in the spa when you want it chlorinating.

Q: hi, first thing can this product work in uk,? my swim spa holds 5500L of water how much salt do I need to add to get started?, I will empty and clean out my pool and fill with fresh water. thankyou for your help

Asked by: Peter Bellis - 2/6/2020
A: The MegaChlor should have enough capacity for your size spa. I would estimate about 10 kg of salt, but be sure to follow the instructions in the manual. It comes with a power adapter with a US-style plug, so you may need to adapt that.

Q: Can this be used with a vinyl sided (intex easy set) above ground pool? I saw another system could only be used on hard-sided above ground pools. Thank you!

Asked by: Elizabeth - 6/9/2020
A: This is a very popular for above ground pool owners. Since its drape-over model doesn't require pool plumbing, you can easily just hang it over the side of your pool.
