replace the Hayward System for 1/2 the cost because it installs the same way it took about 15 minutes to R/R and have running. So far it has only been a week but all looks well. Ordering was easy. I paid for a faster shipment which was on time. all and all good expericence. Thanks for the Service

Great salt system, like it more than aquarite
First of all I just want to say that this is my first time using a circu pool salt system, I've always dealt with pentiars or aqua rite. The system is very user-friendly in my opinion, even more than the Aqua Rite. All the instructions are right on the door, you can browse through different things by pressing a button and the lights tell you when something is working and when it's not so it can't be easier to read then that. The salt cell it's just as a Hayward Aqua Rite and the control panel resembles the aquarite as well but it actually has more options and more information than the Aqua Rite. Installation was a breeze and simple. The only thing that I found that's different from an Aqua Rite It's that low salt it's about 3000 and high is 4000, although it will still keep generating off to 2600 it works better if you keep your salt 3400 +. If you're coming from a Hayward Aqua Rite, this is the perfect replacement for it and with a 40000 gallon capacity salt cell, you can't beat the price. Last but not least the unions come with adapters for 1 and 1/2 in and two and a half which I thought was also great since he saves you the need to find a reducer if you have a two inch system.

best thing I've ever done
I am fanatical about my pool, this is the best thing I have ever done for it. Excellent chlorinator. I even tested it, I stopped adding chlorine to my pool for a week before I installed it. Right when the pool measure zero chlorine and got a little cloudy, I started this chlorinator up and let it run on high. By the next day my chlorine level was too high! Now I run it for 6 hours a day on about 30%, and the pool stays perfect.

new model better than old
I had an older version of this, and instead of replacing the cell I just bought this whole system instead because I got it on sale. I'm an engineer and I appreciated the updates they made to the product. I thought the cooling fan was a nice touch. Now I have my old one for parts, and this new one has my pool up and running again. It was a great system, and its even better now.

Unit works great!
Easy to install, easy to understand instructions and seems to be high quality. It included everything I needed in 2 sizes, 1.5 and 2 inches. Support was excellent as I had a high salt reading which was a breeze. I'd highly recommend this unit.

Q: will this replace a Pentair ic40 with out cutting plumbing except for flow switch ?

Asked by: butch - 6/12/2017
A: If you are switching from a Pentair IntelliChlor model, most people actually prefer the CircuPool SJ models. They have an adapter kit to connect to your current fittings, so it takes virtually no work to make the switch. Operation will be very familiar, but it has some other benefits as well. The SJ cell is clear so you can see it working and check it without having to disassemble everything. The SJ does not require acid cleaning like the Pentair. Even better, when it comes time to replace the cell, the SJ cells are much less expensive.

Q: I HAVE AN ORIGINAL GOLDLINE AQUARITE T15. WILL THIS BE A NO CUT INSTALLATION AS FAR AS THE CELL IS CONCERNED?.... WOULD I BE ABLE TO USE THE OLD T15 SALT GENERATOR WITH THE NEW SYSTEM?

Asked by: SMITTY - 9/9/2017
A: Yes, this is a direct replacement for a Hayward / Goldline Aqua Rite. The cell is the same length and has the same threading so it can be easily replaced. You should be able to unscrew the sensor of the existing flow switch from its PVC housing, and screw the new flow switch back into place. The controls should be able to be hooked up the same way as well. The old T15 cell is not going to be compatible with the new controls; the new cell is more powerful and is different internally, so the new controls are designed to work with the new cell.

The CircuPool Universal40 controls feature a steel sheet-metal box with hinged and latching door, similar to the panel on a circuit breaker. Thanks to the keyholes on the control box, it’s easily mounted to a nearby wall, post, or support with the help of a few basic screws secured to the wall or other support.

Inside the Control Center door, there’s a small LCD screen that displays average salinity readings, temperature, cell voltage, cell current, your chosen chlorine output percentage, instantaneous salinity, and different cell type settings.

These controls have a dial that can be used to raise or lower the chlorine output, and a three-position switch to activate or deactivate the system, or activate the super chlorination mode.

The electrolytic cell for the Universal40 is housed in opaque-plastic and contains built-in titanium electrode plates and a built-in power supply cord.

The housing also features matching threaded connections on the inlet and outlet which fit the Hayward Aqua Rite for easy, direct conversion and quick access for maintenance, cleaning, or seasonal removal.

These threaded connections attach to 2” and 1.5” unions, which can be glued to the existing PVC return-line plumbing.

The CircuPool Universal40 includes two 2" Threaded Unions, two 1.5" Threaded Unions, Flow Switch, 1.5" Flow Switch adapters, and Instruction Manual.
