FAQ

Q: Can this pump be converted to a 115v power supply? I didn't see any instructions to do so in the instruction manual and the outside panel of the wiring unit is too small in the pictures to read. Thanks!

Asked by: Kelly - 4/5/2019
A: No, truly energy efficient pumps require 220-2240V power in order to provide the energy savings that makes these pumps worthwhile. Most pools use 220 for their pumps, but if only 110-120V power is available you would need to add a line.

Q: this pump replace my haway super pump single speed without pipe modification?

Asked by: cesar - 10/28/2019
A: This pump does not directly replace a Hayward Superpump, it would require a small amount of change in your pipe positioning. You can see the dimensions of this pump if you look at the seventh thumbnail picture on the product page.

Q: How direct of a replacement would this be for a Pentair SuperFlo 1HP (340038)? Could I re-use plumbing and electrical?

Asked by: John - 8/27/2019
A: John, looking at the diagrams for each pump, I think for that model its close but the height of the SuperFlo suction port is roughly 1.5" lower. Electrical is typically the same. In the thumbnail pictures of the pump there are dimensional diagrams, you can compare that to what you have to be sure.

Q: I need to replace a CircuPool VJ-3 Model number PN90-v Would this pump be Fit, Form, and Function the same? Thanks for the help.

Asked by: James - 6/1/2020
A: No I don't think so, that model will have different controls and slightly different location for the ports. For a similar capacity, you would look at the 3THP model: https://www.discountsaltpool.com/CircuPool-SmartFlo%C2%AE-Variable-Speed-Pool-Pump--30-THP_p_290.html
