Q: Is it working with Pentair IntelliConnect Control and Monitoring System? The system uses RS485 interface.

Asked by: Arek - 2/15/2025
A: The CircuPool SmartFlo Interface Kit can work with a SmartFlo VSP Pump and an automation controller like the Pentair IntelliConnect in one of two ways.
1) The automation controller can activate 3 of the pump’s preset speeds. In this configuration the only thing that needs to be set on the pump are the speeds you want it to run in each schedule. The time and duration will be controlled by the automation controller.
or
2) The automation controller can activate the pump to begin it’s internally set programing. In this configuration the start time and end time is set on the external controller, and then the duration and speed of each schedule needs to be set on the pump. Once the signal comes from the automation to begin, the pump will cycle through all of the schedules continuously according to the time until a signal is sent from the automation panel to end operation.
