The Si-45 replacement cell is compatible with all CircuPool’s Si series control modules except the Si-60. The Si-45 salt cell is the factory original replacement cell model designed to easily drop in place and allow you to replace your old Si-45 cell in minutes. This cell is made to meet or exceed original factory specs and has 100% guaranteed compatibility.

Replacing the Si-45 cell will allow your salt chlorine generator to begin chlorinating again if your old Si-45 salt cell has been depleted. The Si-45 cell sanitizes your swimming pool in an eco-friendly and cost-efficient way, and also helps provide a luxurious swimming experience without the eye irritation and dry skin.

Note: NOT COMPATIBLE with Hayward AquaRite, Swimpure Plus, Mineral Springs, or other related systems.

Sizing:

When replacing your Si-45 salt cell, take this opportunity to make sure it is sized correctly. Sizing your salt cell properly is key to making sure you will not need to supplement with additional chlorine or shock your pool, and also extends the lifespan of your cell. The industry recommends using a salt cell with a max capacity of 1.5-2 times the actual size of your pool (more is better). The Si-45 is manufacturer rated for a maximum capacity of 45,000 gallons.

Compatibility:

This replacement salt cell for the Si-45 is 100% compatible with original systems (no software/firmware issues). The Si-45 cell has the same length, threading, and cable connection for direct replacement.

To get the most life out of your salt cell and to keep your pool running without unexpected interruptions, make sure it is sized correctly, maintain correct water balance, and be sure and inspect your cell at least every 3 months for leaks, debris, and calcium scale. Be sure to follow instructions in the product manual and clean the cell as often as the system indicates.

The Best
Thrilled with my salt pool. Way way cheaper. Maintenance is non-existent and I never lose my crystal clear blue pool now. The staff at Discount Salt Pool that have helped with my Circupool system have been wonderful. Glad to help and quickly resolved any hiccups I've had during installation and chlorine production.

Questions From Customers

Q: Will the replace the si-plus and is the cable included?

Asked by: Keith - 8/6/2017
A: Yes, the Si-45 cell is 100% compatible if you are replacing a "Si-45 Plus" version, same power, same physical size and connections, and it does include the cord. It should be plug and play to hook up. Just a tip: depending on the age of your controller, you may or may not need to change an electronic setting. Just give our support line a call and we can help you determine that.

Q: How often do you replace the cell of a salt water pool?

Asked by: Hayley Harris - 4/11/2020
A: It depends on which model you have, the size of your pool, and how you use it of course. But for this model I would say the average would be about 4-5 years.

Q: We installed a SI-30 system in June 2016. We have a 15,000 fiberglass pool in south Alabama and run the system 10 hours a day. The cell needs to be replaced. Can I replace it with an Si-45 cell.

Asked by: MLG - 11/15/2020
A: Yes you can. Getting a larger cell usually a better value because it will get less daily wear-and-tear, and it will also give you much more capability to clear the water up when needed.

Q: I have the UL40 system, for a 25k gallon pool, is the Si-45 compatible and a good replacement choice?

Asked by: Rich VB - 11/25/2022
A: Yes you would typically want that 40,000 gallon sizing, the 25,000 gallon model would likely have to run 24/7 at full capacity just to keep up.
