The INDIGO3-XL ozone pool system makes it easy to have the safest, clearest, most pure pool water possible, while also greatly extending the lifespan of your salt pool system.

The CircuPool INDIGO3-XL ozone generator is built to last, and installation is simple - hang the ozone generator unit on the wall, plug it into a standard outlet or timer, and connect it to the plumbing manifold with the included tubing and quick-clamp connections. Ideal for light use residential pools.

  • Go beyond clean with complete broad-spectrum sanitation
    • Ozone is fast-acting to kill microorganisms and remove impurities. It even eliminates many chlorine-resistant contaminants, complementing the superior clean of salt chlorine generation and offering even higher levels of sanitation
  • Remarkably crystal-clear water
    • Ozone causes microparticles that impact water clarity to bind together, allowing your filter to remove them and leaving you with pristine, noticeably clearer water
  • Improve your salt cell efficiency
    • Salt water chlorination is necessary to provide long lasting, residual sanitation, but ozone significantly lightens your salt cell’s workload improving its lifespan.
  • Enjoy the purest water around
    • Together with a salt system, ozone creates the highest level of pure & clean water — comparable to other high-end pool systems that cost many thousands more!

Q: Does this work with salt and changes it to chlorine

Asked by: Margsret - 6/21/2021
A: The INDIGO3-XL system does work with a salt pool, but no it is not a chlorine generator, it is an ozone generator.

You would use this item in addition to a salt chlorine generator, to boost your pool's ability to stay clean, boost your water clarity, & to protect from chlorine-resistant microorganisms.

Q: Does this still create ozone, even if the water does not have chlorine/salt in it?

Asked by: Elijah - 11/17/2022
A: Yes, this infuses ozone regardless of your primary sanitation method. Since a pool that uses an ozone generator still requires chlorination in some form, there is no better way than to use a salt chlorine generator to achieve that.

Q: Should the water get cloudy after the first few week or so of running it?

Asked by: Crystal - 4/24/2023
A: Yes! This is expected when you first install the system, and this is actually a benefit. What is happening is that the ozone is causing fine particles to clump together, which will allow your filter to capture and remove them. The instructions say to expect to clean your filter after the first week, even if the pool looks clear initially. Once this fine sediment in your pool is captured, you'll be left with noticeably clearer water.

Q: 1. Can i Install the indigo after the DE filter before the pool heater. If NO how far can i install after the salt chlorinator? 2. I have a spa connect with the pool can i still install or will it course health issue. Best Mark

Asked by: Mark Azzopardi - 5/18/2023
A: Ozone generators are spec'd to go after heaters. If you can put it before the salt chlorinator that is ideal, as you get increased sanitation performance as the ozone goes through the salt cell. Otherwise after the salt cell with no minimum distance after within reason. I'm not sure about what you mean for the second question, you might want to ask the manufacturer.

Q: I just installed the INDIGO3-XL Ozone Generator for Swimming Pools that I ordered from you How can I see if it working and producing Ozone ? The Operation Guide shows : Section 4 ice Visual Inspection Periodically inspect the unit to ensure it is functioning correctly by simply observing the end plate gaskets for a light blue glow while the system is in operation. I do not have any light blue glow. The Unit is totally sealed, and I have no idea where a light blue glow may come. Does that mean that the new unit is not working ? Can I unscrew the Top cap to see if the VUV is turning blue when on ?

Asked by: Patrick S - 9/7/2023
A: There is a clear edge along the top and bottom of the unit (the metal endplates compress this into the extruded vertical walls of the unit). This will transmit light when the unit is powered on. No need to open the unit, in fact definitely do this as the direct light can hurt your eyes. If power is applied to the unit and no light is visible, it is possible the bulb is loose (if new), otherwise there may be some other issue which you would want to speak with the system's customer support on.
