The Core-35 replacement cell is compatible with CircuPool’s Core Series salt chlorine generator. The Core-35 salt cell is the factory original replacement cell model designed to easily drop in place and allow you to replace your old Core-35 cell in minutes. This cell is made to meet or exceed original factory specs and has 100% guaranteed compatibility.
Designed to complement the fourth generation technology of the CircuPool CORE Series, it features the same titanium electrodes and compact, easy to install design. Replacing the Core-35 cell will allow your salt chlorine generator to begin chlorinating again if your old Core-35 salt cell has been depleted. The Core-35 cell sanitizes your swimming pool in an eco-friendly and cost-efficient way, and also helps provide a luxurious swimming experience without the eye irritation and dry skin.
Sizing:
When replacing your Core-35 salt cell, take this opportunity to make sure it is sized correctly. Sizing your salt cell properly is key to making sure you will not need to supplement with additional chlorine or shock your pool, and also extends the lifespan of your cell. The industry recommends using a salt cell with a max capacity of 1.5-2 times the actual size of your pool (more is better). The Core-35 is manufacturer rated for a maximum capacity of 35,000 gallons.
Compatibility:
This replacement salt cell is 100% compatible with original Core-35 systems only (no software/firmware issues). The Core-35 cell has the same length, threading, and cable connection for direct replacement.
To get the most life out of your salt cell and to keep your pool running without unexpected interruptions, make sure it is sized correctly, maintain correct water balance, and be sure and inspect your cell at least every 3 months for leaks, debris, and calcium scale. Be sure to follow instructions in the product manual and clean the cell as often as the system indicates.
General FAQ
If your salt cell needs to be replaced, you probably have a problem with low chlorine, but if your chlorine level is a problem then the cell is only one of several possible issues, notably including excessive chlorine demand. Essentially, you have either a system problem or a water problem.
System problems will generally reveal themselves with error messages or warning lights on the control module. The typical indications of the cell needing replacement will be one or both of the following: Low Salt warnings that are present with correct salinity and Check/Clean Cell warnings that display when the cell is verifiably clean.
If you are referring to buying the same brand, there’s no question that the original OEM salt cell is exactly what your system was designed to use. However, commonly there are aftermarket replacement cells available which fit into place and operate quite satisfactorily. It is your prerogative to employ one of these aftermarket replacements if you are satisfied with the specifications, price warranty, and reported compatibility.
If you were asking about buying the same capacity cell, then OEM or aftermarket alike, you need to first determine whether your control or power module can accommodate a different size. Assuming you can change sizes, a larger cell is virtually always a good choice. However, in downsizing, make sure the smaller cell is still sufficiently large to maintain 1.5-2 times sizing of the cell relative to the pool’s volume.
Perfect!
I purchased the CircuPool Core 35 conversion cell as a replacement for one that had been destroyed by my professional pool service maintenance company. The cell arrived via overnight express early in the morning the day after I had placed my order. Incredible service from Discount Salt Pool, as always! The cell arrived in pristine, factory new condition, and was complete with necessary O ring. It fit like a hand to a glove in its transparent housing. From the moment I powered the unit up, it ran, and continues to run, perfectly. Water flows through it smoothly and silently. It converts the dissolved salt in the pool's water into the targeted chlorine level output without deviatiion. Additionally, since installed, there has been no calcium build-up whatsoever. The cell blades remain clean. All in all, the Core35 cell performs superbly, efficiently, and effectively!

With built-in titanium electrode plates, the CircuPool CORE Series salt cell is an inline cartridge that fits into the unit’s clear housing. This allows for easy access when it’s time for cleaning, maintenance, or seasonal removal. The clear cell also makes it easy to watch the chlorine generation or to inspect the cell during operation.
