FAQ

Q: When used while plugged into a 110 outlet, do you need to unplug it before the pool pump cycles off or is it ok to leave it plugged in? Will the flow sensor be ok to turn the unit off and on?

A: If you plug it in to an outlet, then yes the flow switch will activate/deactivate it according to when the pump is running or not.

Q: What is the cell cleaning process, is muriatic acid used like cleaning the intelichlor generator

Asked by: Steve - 5/17/2020
A: Similar. You mix up the weak acid solution (1 part acid, four parts water) in the cleaning vessel that comes with this system. Then you simply lower this system's cell down into the cleaning vessel where you can let it soak until all mineral scaling is dissolved.

Q: does the placement height matter in relation to the height of the filter and or heater inlet and outlet? Some chlorinators state the chlorinator must be higher than the heater filter inlet /outlet. My current tablet feeder is low on the equipment pad and I am looking to convert to a salt water pool. With that in mind, can this chlorinator take the place of my tablet feeder? Thank you

Asked by: Robbie - 5/14/2020
A: No, this model's height in relation to the filter/heater does not matter. It is a very similar size to most tablet feeders, and you want to put it in the same place, making it the last thing the water goes through before going back to thepool.

Q: Does this item need to come off of the plumbing during the winter?

Asked by: Katie - 5/25/2019
A: Good question- no you don't. Like any of your pool equipment, you would just need to protect your plumbing from damage due to freezing water.

Q: Is this chlorination reliable? We are replacing a Pentair. Can the Circupool 55 use the same power source as the Pentair IC - 40?

Asked by: Alex Floyd - 6/4/2019
A: Yes, I've had experience with it and I can tell you it's a very well made unit. This model automatically converts either 220v it 110v power, so yes you can hook it up to a timer or pump controls like the Pentair, or even easier just plug it into an outlet if one's available.
