General FAQ
These saltwater chlorine generator systems come with everything you need except salt, PVC glue, primer, a saw, and a few common tools.
In addition to adding salt to your pool water, installation entails adding one new piece of equipment to your pool. This can be performed by a handyman, plumber, electrician, pool contractor or Do-It-Yourself (DIY).
If you are contemplating installation, read more here.
The simple, industry-wide, rule-of-thumb is that your salt system should be sized at 1.5 times your pool size, or more, for the temperate and colder parts of the US.
If you live in the southern sunbelt, then you should select a system with specs of at least 2 times your pool size.
Bear in mind that an undersized system will be a constant challenge, at best, while an oversized system will extend cell life and give you reserve capacity for weather events and periods of heavy use.

does the placement height matter in relation to the height of the filter and or heater inlet and outlet? Some chlorinators state the chlorinator must be higher than the heater filter inlet /outlet. My current tablet feeder is low on the equipment pad and I am looking to convert to a salt water pool. With that in mind, can this chlorinator take the place of my tablet feeder? Thank you

The Control Module for the CircuPool CORE-55 is a weatherproof unit integrated inline with the cell, with a touch sensitive control keypad and LED indicators. Digital controls will display your current settings and chosen chlorine output.
You can increase or decrease chlorine output through the Control Module, or activate a chlorine boost. The advanced system diagnostics will alert you when you need to add more salt or clean the cell. These diagnostics also provide information about the water flow, cell replacement, and Control Module electronics status.
The CircuPool CORE-55 Control Module also comes standard with a built-in power supply cord, with 110V plug for easy installation. The digital switch-mode power supply automatically converts 220V, allowing for direct wiring to a timer, relay, or other power source. The Control Module is mounted to the cell with a threaded connection that allows for easy removal during service.
The cell for the CircuPool CORE-55 features a clear housing, removable titanium electrode plates, and built-in Flow Switch and sensors. CORE cells feature CellSaver™ technology, helping to extend its operation lifespan. The titanium plates are easily removed for cleaning the system with an included cleaning vessel, or when replacing the cell.
The CORE cell housing also comes with threaded connections on each end and 2” slip-fittings unions which will attach to the existing return-line PVC plumbing. The clear cell housing makes it easy to see the chlorine generation process in action or to check inside the cell before servicing it.
CircuPool CORE-55 units include: 2” threaded cell unions, a cleaning vessel, a cutting template for installation, and a standard instruction manual.
