This short cord comes with cell connections that meet or exceed original factory specs, as well as easy crimp connections and heat-shrink shroud that allows it to easily be spliced on to the existing wires. Pool owner
The original disk style power connector on my RJ-45 Classic chlorination system had eventually allowed for a loose connection at one of the terminals and resulted in some arcing that led to damage to the connector and poor performance of the cell. The design did not allow for the problem to be simply remedied. The CELL CABLE REPAIR KIT has allowed me to,reestablish a solid connection at all three terminals on the chlorine generation cell. My RJ-45 Classic is now back to performing as expected. No instructions were included as the repair is a pretty simple task for anyone with basic DIY skills. I think it would make for a more elegant repair if the wires of the replacement connector were cut to allow for staggering of the crimp connectors thus eliminating the large bulge in the repaired wire. I didn't foresee the issue until it was too late and decided that it wasn't worth the effort to cut the wires and start over. Perhaps an instruction sheet suggesting this method would be helpful. Just sayin' ;-). Nevertheless, I'm pleased that the CELL CABLE REPAIR KIT has restored the function of my RJ-45 Classic chlorine generator. JLJ

Q: Is it possible to put a plug in cord on the panel so that it can plug into an outlet timer?

A: You're not asking about this repair kit product, you're asking about the actual power supply cable currently on your control module? If so, it doesn't matter whether or not its power supply cable gets wired to screw terminals on a timer or if it has a plug added to it and it gets plugged in. What does matter is that the control module is internally set to the correct voltage (120V / 240V) that your power source is so this matches.
