A must have

This bypass cell is better described as a blank pipe. During the winter when the water is too cold to produce chlorine, I take my SWG cell out and store it in the garage while the blank pipe allows to switch back to a chlorine pool and serves to keep circulation going. It also served when my cell needed maintenance and again the blank pipe allowed me to switch back to a chlorine pool until the cell was repaired.

Bypass Cell

I bought this on sale and just before I installed my Circupool Universal 40. Prior to getting to work with the installation, I compared the size of the salt cell and the bypass cell. They were identical, so I deceided to use the bypass to mock up the installation as it is lighter and easier to handle in the tight space I had to work in. When the time came to finally install the salt cell, it fit perfectly. I know this was not its intended purpose, but it worked. Well made and precise.

A: The Bypass cell is an exact fit for Hayward Aqua Rite, Hayward SwimPure Plus, Mineral Springs, Pentair IntelliChlor, CircuPool RJ (3rd-generation), CircuPool Si, CircuPool Universal, and other salt chlorinators that use this industry standard plumbing size and threads. The length of the cell is approximately 12 1/4 inches.

Q: Can you give me dimensions including thread diameter or size? I'd like to use this as a spool piece to splice out a Jandy 1400 salt cell. Would it be a simple screw in?

A: Unfortunately, Jandy uses a unique sized cell, and this would not be compatible. It is about 12 1/4 inches long.

Q: I have pentair equipment on my salt water system, I have an electronic switching system for exterior lights, spa, waterfall etc. which transmits wireless signals to my electrical enclosure outside.Can I find a replacement for it? Cost etc.??

A: This bypass cell will work for your salt system, but are you looking for the power module for the Pentair Intellichlor?
