The Pool Pilot Digital Nano + with PPC2 salt cell has microprocessor controls and a digital display, which gives the user readings of pool water temperature, current salinity, and power setting level. If salt levels run low, the system can also tell you how much salt to add. The Nano will maintain pools up to a maximum of 35,000 gallons* with the PPC2 cell and manifold system. The PPC2 cell is equivalent to older RC-28 cells.

A: If you have an old SC-36 cell (or RC-35 cell), you would replace it with a new PPC1 cell: https://www.discountsaltpool.com/Autopilot-RC-35-Replacement-Salt-Cell

Q: What should put the Percent at right now it's at 36?

Asked by: Tim - 8/15/2019
A: Tim, that is different for everybody! The % represents how hard the system will works to sanitize the water. Based on your pool size, pool use, environment, and water chemistry, your pool will need a unique amount of sanitization. The best advice would be to check your "Free Chlorine" level in the water - if it is too low turn the system up, and if it is too high turn the system down. Once you do that that a few times you can usually let it run for weeks on end or more before making seasonal adjustments. If you get a rain storm or a have a pool party, you typically want to use the system's temporary boost mode. Feel free to call us if the system is working well or is in need of replacement (866-766-5243).

Q: when adding salt the pool place said to turn off generator and keep pool pump runing how do i do that pool pump and the auto pilot is on time clock together

Asked by: jim - 1/21/2021
A: You would want to use the controls on the Digital Nano wall unit to turn it off. That way even if your time clock is still providing power to the salt system, the salt system is not trying to generate when there is an insufficient level of salt in the water. Its a best practice, but the salt system will turn on a warning light and won't be able to generate anyway until your salt level is high enough.

Asked by: TOM COTTER - 5/28/2021
A: While there are systems that have different ranges, you can see in the manuals that the ideal salt level for most systems is 3000-3400ppm
