The CircuPool CIR-GEN15 replacement cell is a good alternative choice for a wide range of salt pool systems from Hayward®, such as the Goldline® AquaRite®, AquaRite Pro®, AquaLogic®, Pro Logic®, SwimPure Plus®, Mineral Springs®, NatureSoft®, SplashCLEAR®, AquaPlus®, LeverEdge Guardian®, Blue Essence®, and more. The CircuPool CIR-GEN15 salt cell is an aftermarket replacement cell model designed to easily drop in place and allow you to replace your old Aquarite cell in minutes. Matches existing plumbing and electrical connections.
Replacing the Aquarite 40k cell will allow your salt chlorine generator to begin chlorinating again if your old Aquarite salt cell has been depleted. The CircuPool GEN15 cell sanitizes your swimming pool in an eco-friendly and cost-efficient way, and also helps provide a luxurious swimming experience without the eye irritation and dry skin.
CircuPool products are backed by USA-Based Expert Support & USA-Based Factory Warranty.
Sizing:
When replacing your Aquarite salt cell, take this opportunity to make sure it is sized correctly. Sizing your salt cell properly is key to making sure you will not need to supplement with additional chlorine or shock your pool, and also extends the lifespan of your cell. The industry recommends using a salt cell with a max capacity of 1.5-2 times the actual size of your pool (more is better). The CircuPool CIR-GEN15 is manufacturer rated for a maximum capacity of 40,000 gallons.
Compatibility:
This aftermarket replacement salt cell for the Aquarite is guaranteed to work with original systems of the same size with no software/firmware issues, such as these OEM cells: T-CELL-15, W3T-CELL-15, T-CELL-940, GLX-CELL-15, GLX-CELL-15-W. The CircuPool CIR-GEN15 cell has the same length, threading, and cable connection for easy replacement and perfect fit.
The CircuPool GEN15 Cell is not manufactured, endorsed, or sold by Hayward. Neither CircuPool nor the GEN15 cell is affiliated with Hayward; the use of manufacturer names, product names, part numbers, or such trademarks herein are included for compatibility designations and informational purposes only.
To get the most life out of your salt cell and to keep your pool running without unexpected interruptions, make sure it is sized correctly, maintain correct water balance, and be sure and inspect your cell at least every 3 months for leaks, debris, and calcium scale. Be sure to follow instructions in the product manual and clean the cell as often as the system indicates.
General FAQ
If your salt cell needs to be replaced, you probably have a problem with low chlorine, but if your chlorine level is a problem then the cell is only one of several possible issues, notably including excessive chlorine demand. Essentially, you have either a system problem or a water problem.
System problems will generally reveal themselves with error messages or warning lights on the control module. The typical indications of the cell needing replacement will be one or both of the following: Low Salt warnings that are present with correct salinity and Check/Clean Cell warnings that display when the cell is verifiably clean.
If you are referring to buying the same brand, there’s no question that the original OEM salt cell is exactly what your system was designed to use. However, commonly there are aftermarket replacement cells available which fit into place and operate quite satisfactorily. It is your prerogative to employ one of these aftermarket replacements if you are satisfied with the specifications, price warranty, and reported compatibility.
If you were asking about buying the same capacity cell, then OEM or aftermarket alike, you need to first determine whether your control or power module can accommodate a different size. Assuming you can change sizes, a larger cell is virtually always a good choice. However, in downsizing, make sure the smaller cell is still sufficiently large to maintain 1.5-2 times sizing of the cell relative to the pool’s volume.

The CircuPool CIR-GEN15 electrolytic cell is an inline opaque-plastic housing which contains built-in titanium electrode plates and built-in power supply cord. The salt cell has equivalent threaded connections as the Hayward AquaRite and more (see description), which allow quick access for service or winter removal (if applicable).
