The Resilience A7 / D7 replacement cell is compatible with chlorine generators from AquaBlue, Nexa Pure, Intermatic I-Pure, Frog Hybrid, Relaxx, ComfortChlor, AquaComfort, as well as older original SCC-40 Resilience chlorine generators. The Resilience A7 salt cell is the factory original replacement cell model designed to easily drop in place and allow you to replace your old Resilience A7 cell in minutes. This cell is made to meet or exceed original factory specs and has 100% guaranteed compatibility.

The Resilience A5 cell is manufactured by Solaxx, and features Resilience IBT (Independent Blade Technology). This A-Series salt cell is the replacement cell only - unions and collars are NOT included. You will utilize your current unions for fast easy installation during replacement; the cell is the same 14" length and has the original threads, so it will fit exactly in place between your existing couplers.

Replacing the Resilience A7 cell will allow your salt chlorine generator to begin chlorinating again if your old Resilience A7 salt cell has been depleted. The Resilience A7 cell sanitizes your swimming pool in an eco-friendly and cost-efficient way, and also helps provide a luxurious swimming experience without the eye irritation and dry skin.

Note: For existing Resilience control centers that are more than 10 years old, a transition wire assembly may be required: CLG30A-030 Quick Connect Adaptor Cable.

Sizing:

When replacing your Resilience A7 salt cell, take this opportunity to make sure it is sized correctly. Sizing your salt cell properly is key to making sure you will not need to supplement with additional chlorine or shock your pool, and also extends the lifespan of your cell. The industry recommends using a salt cell with a max capacity of 1.5-2 times the actual size of your pool (more is better). The Resilience A7 is manufacturer rated for a maximum capacity of 60,000 gallons.

Compatibility:

This replacement salt cell for the Resilience A7 is 100% compatible with original systems (no software/firmware issues). The Resilience A7 cell has the same length, threading, and cable connection for direct replacement.

To get the most life out of your salt cell and to keep your pool running without unexpected interruptions, make sure it is sized correctly, maintain correct water balance, and be sure and inspect your cell at least every 3 months for leaks, debris, and calcium scale. Be sure to follow instructions in the product manual and clean the cell as often as the system indicates.

FAQ

Q: can a Resilience A7 salt cell be substituted for an A5 cell without changing the PSC3 control panel? What happens if that is done?

Asked by: Richard G. Verlander, Jr. - 8/7/2021
A: The PSC3 is not capable of supporting the A7 cell as those systems were not designed to accommodate the 60k cell size.

Q: I can’t get one of the tabs on this cell to release so I can fit yo new salt cell. Any tricks anyone can offer.? One diff came right off. Thanks

Asked by: Sk - 3/5/2023
A: Do you mean the threaded collar is stuck, so you can't unscrew your old cell on one end? If so, you might try a "strap wrench" to gently but firmly unscrew it (making sure you are turning in the right direction).
