The Core-55 replacement cell is compatible with CircuPool’s Core Series salt chlorine generator. The Core-55 salt cell is the factory original replacement cell model designed to easily drop in place and allow you to replace your old Core-55 cell in minutes. This cell is made to meet or exceed original factory specs and has 100% guaranteed compatibility.

Designed to complement the fourth generation technology of the CircuPool CORE Series, it features the same titanium electrodes and compact, easy to install design. Replacing the Core-55 cell will allow your salt chlorine generator to begin chlorinating again if your old Core-55 salt cell has been depleted. The Core-55 cell sanitizes your swimming pool in an eco-friendly and cost-efficient way, and also helps provide a luxurious swimming experience without the eye irritation and dry skin.

Sizing:

When replacing your Core-55 salt cell, take this opportunity to make sure it is sized correctly. Sizing your salt cell properly is key to making sure you will not need to supplement with additional chlorine or shock your pool, and also extends the lifespan of your cell. The industry recommends using a salt cell with a max capacity of 1.5-2 times the actual size of your pool (more is better). The Core-55 is manufacturer rated for a maximum capacity of 55,000 gallons.

Compatibility:

This replacement salt cell is 100% compatible with original Core-55 systems only (no software/firmware issues). The Core-55 cell has the same length, threading, and cable connection for direct replacement.

To get the most life out of your salt cell and to keep your pool running without unexpected interruptions, make sure it is sized correctly, maintain correct water balance, and be sure and inspect your cell at least every 3 months for leaks, debris, and calcium scale. Be sure to follow instructions in the product manual and clean the cell as often as the system indicates.

FAQ

Q: Given the salinity level is kept within range for the Core 55 Generator and the cell is inspected/cleaned per manufacturers recommendations, what is the average lifespan of the titanium cell? Will this need to be replaced every season or will someone get multiple seasons of use out of the same cell?

Asked by: Chase - 5/10/2022
A: Multiple seasons and more most likely. It depends on how heavily it is used, so ultimately its unique for every pool (how much chlorine generation is required every day). But I've seen anywhere from 3-10 so salt cells are intended to last.
