Surface is spotless
So far the Betta is working really good on keeping the surface clean of small debris and bugs. Since I have this running 24/7 I have the pump set only on the pool sweep for most of the time it's on. So the floor is cleaner and the surface is spotless.

Awesome invention
This little bot is the most amazing thing u can own, besides that helps with the cleaning it last 24/7 in the pool cleaning. I've own this bettabot 2 for more than a year n all I can say r wonderful things about it. If I can give it 10 stars I would. The bot, the customer service r A++, if u have any type of problem they will get back to u via email, fast. The warranty is unbelievable, I've send it back to get repair, but this company deals with it fast n very professional. I would recommend this product to everybody that is tired of using the poles, if u know what I mean. When this bettabot 2, stops working, can't repair it no more, I will definitely will get the new version with out hesitation. And to u guys at bettabot, all I can say is keep on the good work ??

Just what we needed
Only day 2 but had to write. Our pool is under two 60' tall pines that drop hundreds of tiny (1) cones & needles daily. we skimmed twice a day and just couldn't keep it clean. It is now perfectly clean. Sharky (our nickname) doesn't get stuck on anything in our pool and has taken out probably 2 pounds a day of needles and baby cones - I'll come back and add a picture. Our pool finally looks how I dreamed it would when we bought the house.

Great addition to the pool, could be a bit better.
I have a large suction leak between the skimmer and the pump, this will probably be the last year for the pool so I got this to fill the void. It does a really good job of cleaning the top of the water. Issues are corners and the top step where it can't get to due to depth.I think a couple of engineering changes would make this really great:1- a wider mouth at the front and narrow pontoons so it can get closer to the edges and not as much gets around it2-some sort of brush attachments for the sides so as it goes along the walls it brushes detritus as it moves.3-a container for chlorine tabs built it to disperse it as it does it job4-move the power switch above the water line, really odd placement for it to sit in the water, on top would be more accessibleJust my .02

Works Amazingly!!!!
Love this little machine! It is solar powered so it just goes all day and through the night cleaning the dirties off the top of the pool. We love it! One of the best purchases we’ve made.

Q: How often does it need to be recharged?

A: The Betta SE will manage a full charge in the summer with 6-8 hours of runtime in the sun which will allow it to run 24/7. In the winter, charging can take up to twice as long.

A: To help estimate lifespan, the manufacturer states that after 3 years the battery should still be able to operate with about 80% of original capacity.

Q: To charge it, should I take the skimmer robot out of the pool and put it in the sun?

A: No, Betta is a smart unit and it manages the charging by itself. As long as there is an area in the pool that has good direct sunlight during the day, Betta will stop in the area and charge up when the remaining charge of the battery is below its set level.
Leaving the unit in a dry spot under high heat will cause severe damage to the internal components and the battery. If the unit needs to be taken out of the pool when the pool is in use, keep it in a cool place or under shade and away from a walking path.

A: Betta lists their cleaners to be able to work in salinity levels well over what you would keep your swimming pool (5,000 ppm).

Q: Do I need to turn the unit off and take it out of the pool every day?

A: No, just leave it floating in the pool. No need to switch OFF either. If the flashing LEDs bother you when Betta keeps working into the night, you can switch the power OFF by pushing on the red power button and leaving Betta floating in the pool. Turn the power back ON the next day after sunrise when you want Betta to go back to work.

A: The Betta SE Solar-Powered Smart Robotic Pool Skimmer only cleans the water surface. If you are looking for something to scrub and clean the sides and bottom of the pool, please consider the Pool Blaster CX-1 Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner or the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner with Wi-Fi.
