The AutoPilot ChlorSync CS40 replacement salt cell is compatible with the ChlorSync Power Center (ECP0312, sold separately). The CS40 salt cell is the factory original replacement cell model designed to easily drop in place and allow you to replace your old CS40 cell in minutes. This cell is made to meet or exceed original factory specs and has 100% guaranteed compatibility. This item requires the Power Center to operate.

Replacing the Autopilot ChlorSync CS40 cell will allow your salt chlorine generator to begin chlorinating again if your old CS40 salt cell has been depleted. The CS40 cell sanitizes your swimming pool in an eco-friendly and cost-efficient way, and also helps provide a luxurious swimming experience without the eye irritation and dry skin.

Sizing:

When replacing your Autopilot salt cell, take this opportunity to make sure it is sized correctly. Sizing your salt cell properly is key to making sure you will not need to supplement with additional chlorine or shock your pool, and also extends the lifespan of your cell. The industry recommends using a salt cell with a max capacity of 1.5-2 times the actual size of your pool (more is better). The CS40 is manufacturer rated for a maximum capacity of 40,000 gallons.

Compatibility:

This replacement salt cell for the Autopilot Pool Pilot Digital is 100% compatible with original systems (no software/firmware issues). There is only one Power Center for ChlorSync systems, compatible with all cell sizes.


To get the most life out of your salt cell and to keep your pool running without unexpected interruptions, make sure it is sized correctly, maintain correct water balance, and be sure and inspect your cell at least every 3 months for leaks, debris, and calcium scale. Be sure to follow instructions in the product manual and clean the cell as often as the system indicates.

The Autopilot ChlorSync controls are permanently integrated into the salt cell. The small digital display screen shows the chosen percentage chlorine output level, pool salt level, or temperature. The keypad controls allow you to raise and lower the chlorine output enter the menu system, and activate the boost (24 hours) mode. The ChlorSync controls have automatic model detection, which allows any size ChlorSync cell to work with the single available ChlorSync Power Center (sold separately). Power Center is required for operation.
The Autopilot ChlorSync Electrolytic Cell is a triangular plumbing unit that contains built-in titanium electrode plates, built-in tri-sensor (flow switch, temperature sensor, and salinity sensor), built-in controls, and built-in power supply cord. The salt cell has threaded connections on the inlet and outlet, which allow quick access for service or winter removal (if applicable). The ChlorSync salt cell operates at flow rates as low as 20 gpm.
