This item is a replacement cell only for existing APX P60 cells only - not compatible as a replacement for other brand cells. This inner cell must be connected to the electronic controls which have been removed from the existing APX P-Series cell being replaced and have been attached to this new inner cell replacement.

Good Replacement

Was having an issue with the APX chlorinator. Though the life span was decent the option to replace just the cell was a very cost efficient solution. Customer service was extremely good with assisting.

Q: I currently have a pentair IC40. I’m leaning strongly toward getting a APX cell to replace the pentair one with. I’m thinking of stepping up to the 60,000 gal model APX60. Will the APX 60 fit right into the existing piping that my ic40 is mounted. Or does it require modification to allow the apx60 to fit??

A: The P40 and P60 are the same size and fit interchangeably with IC40 and IC 60s. You will find that a P60 will fit properly with no modifications and operate correctly.

Q: I have an APX 40 and I often have to run it at 100%. Can I replace the cell with the APX 60, and reuse my existing controls and get greater Cl capacity?

A: Yes, if you are choosing to use a Replacement Inner Cell of a different capacity from the current or original cell, then that will work. However, it will be necessary to manually switch the Control Module's Cell Type to the appropriate setting. Please call us at (866) 766-5243 Mon-Thu: 9-4:30 or Fri: 9-3PM Central and a member of our support team will assist you in making that change.

Specific to your situation, though, review your water chemistry and determine whether you are struggling with abnormally high chlorine demand. Again, contact us if you need assistance in pinpointing a water chemistry problem.
