When the salt molecules in your water pass through the saltwater chlorinator’s Electrolytic Cell (a set of titanium plates), a weak electric charge is used to immediately sanitize and shock the water. This electrolytic process uses the salt molecule to create pure sanitizer (HOCl) right in your pool!
